             Tournament Results from               May 12th - 13th

The 14's and 15's teams ended their season at the OVR Championships on Saturday and the 15's team played their last weekend.

I had the pleasure of attending tournaments on Saturday and Sunday. I was very pleased with how our teams performed. Everyone, including coaches, should be very proud of their seasons!

Below are updates by the coaches on how their tournaments went!

Coach Kevin:

Our 14s team competed in our Regional Championship on Saturday. Based on seedings, we were not expected to make it to the top half of our bracket following pool play. However, the Bombers played well and advanced to to the top half of the tournament, finishing 2nd in our bracket. The only team to defeat us in pool play ended up winning the Championship for our tournament. We played a very tough match in bracket play, losing our final set by a score of 30 - 28. We finished in 5th place out of 16 teams. Our team showed we would fight to the end and the coaching staff was extremely proud of the way they performed at Regionals and all season long! Great job Bombers!

Coach Leach:

The 15s Team was in Columbus this weekend for their Regional competition. Going into regionals, the team was ranked #30th which is a great accomplishment for the regular season. This put the team in the Top 4 brackets (Gold/Silver/Bronze/Copper). The team was definitely challenged facing off with the 8th and 9th ranked teams in our division. Both of the first 2 matches went to 3 sets each. The team tried to rally together for a win but ultimately fell short losing both matches. In their final match, Cleveland Eastside proved to be a worthy opponent as the team fell to this club as well. Going into the Copper bracket was obviously not what any of the girls wanted, but they rose to the occasion and ended up taking 1st place in the Copper bracket for the day. This victory placed the team 25th in the top 32 teams. Despite injury and illness, the girls really came together and worked as a team. They had a great season and should be proud! Congratulations!

Congratulations to our teams that played last weekend!!

This coming weekend the 16's teams will finish their seasons in Columbus on Sunday!

Good luck to both teams this weekend!!!!
